Go to the Atomic Learning tutorial on iMovie; view the tutorial in the Audio section, #9, fading audio in or out. You will need to log in with username: nsba05; password: atomic.

Classwork
View PSA's of your classmates (location: Courseware/resources/webapps/rich media/RM_p1_PSAs; copy movies to local!); write an original paragraph summarizing the class PSA's. Write about: list all subjects of the PSA's, most memorable PSA and why it was memorable, tips for improving PSAs, etc. Write about two lessons you learned from the PSA's.

New Project: Create a short movie in iMovie about a historical person who changed the world; your short movie should tell us why the person was significant and how they changed the world

Details:
Pictures:
o use clear pictures - not blurry pictures; check size before downloading
o Use at least 8 pictures from the internet
o use Ken Burns effect on at least 5 pictures
o use transitions between all photos (can be the same transition)
o use at least one effect on a picture - don't overuse effects!
o use enough pictures to get your message across
o allow pictures to show for at least 4 seconds

New Project: A Day/Week in the life

Cameras: these students need to download their pictures into iPhoto and turn in cameras to teacher: Danz, Beverly

All students:

New Project: compose new iMovie about your day or week using iMovie; your movie should show us what happens on your day or during your week; movies will be posted to internet

· narration with your voice (voice must be clear and audible)

o Yes, I want to hear your voice!

· music – at least 10 seconds of original music made in garageband

· credits page listing who made the movie and others who helped

· Pictures:

o Use pictures from the internet if you need to help tell story
